What time do the Awards start and finish?

Guests are welcome to arrive from 6pm. The Awards will start promptly at 7pm and will finish by 9:30pm.

I'm a winner. Will I have to make a speech?

Congratulations! You're awesome and we want this evening to be very special for you; not for you to worry. Winners do not need to make a speech. You will be called to the stage to collect a trophy and then you'll need to pause so we can celebrate your worthy achievement with applause. After leaving the stage, you'll have your photo taken.

What should guests wear?

The event is a special moment to mark inspirational people, so we suggest you wear 'party outfits' - whatever that means to you.

Will there be food provided?

The Awards event ticket will not include food but there will be snacks and drinks to purchase at the Arena, so don't forget to bring some cash for the bar.

Will people be able to sit together?

Winners and their two nominated guests will be able to sit together in the VIP section. Other guests will be able to purchase tickets which will be in the general seating section. Seating is not allocated in the general seating area so guests will be able to sit together as long as they arrive early enough to guarantee this. If you have an enquiry about this, please email yes@generationCAN.org.uk and we will do our best to answer your question

What will the event be like?

The event will divided into two halves, with two performances by Lost Voice Guy and a performance by a local group. It will be a family-friendly event and although it will be a relatively late night for children, we would encourage you to come as a family as it will be fully inclusive and accessible for all.

Please note: those who have hypersensitivities to sound should bring protective headphones. We will not be using strobe lighting but we will be using bright, flashing lights at points during the event. There will be photography and videography during the event and by attending the event, you give permission for us to use images which may include you for future marketing and information sharing about the charity. If you have a question or concern about this, do speak to one of our volunteers on the night, as you arrive.

Is the Arena fully inclusive and accessible?

Yes! That's part of the reason we host the Awards here. You can find out more about the Arena on their website here, and watch a virtual tour here.

Where can we park?

The Arena has parking for guests of the Awards behind the Arena.

Where is the Arena? How can I get there?

The Arena is in Worcester near the cricket ground. Directions and information about transport options can be found here.

I'm worried that I don't have a ticket but I've signed up to come!

Don't worry! If you have signed in for your free ticket (or someone else has on your behalf) then you just need to turn up and your name will be on a list. You won't need a ticket to enter.
